Fairly Easy Orchids – Miltoniopsis Red Tide

Blooming, Care and Culture, Classification, Growing Indoors
I define “fairly easy” orchids as those that, while suitable for a beginner, may not be quite as tolerant of less than ideal conditions as the “easy” orchids.
The lovely, vibrant pansy orchids are hard to beat when showing off their striking colors. The large, flat blooms are nearly always accompanied by a central decoration, often referred to as the “mask,” and the yellow grooves are known as the “honey guide.” This superb, fragrant hybrid is widely grown and is a popular color. It is a neat plant with pseudobulbs that will often produce two flower spikes any time in the summer. The plant needs careful watering: allow it to dry out partially in between waterings and do not overwater. Keep it in the intermediate temperature range.
Flower Size: 3 1/2 inches (9cm) across
Flower Spike: 1 foot (30cm)
Plant Height: 1 foot (30cm)
Pot Size: 4 inches (10cm)
